COVID-19 - VACCINATIONS

WE ARE HOLDING A COVID VACCINATION CLINIC ON TUESDAY 26TH APRIL 2022 FOR SPRING BOOSTERS FOR ALL PATIENTS AGED 75 YEARS AND OVER

Letters have been sent out to those patients who are eligible for their Spring Booster.

Vaccination is the most important thing you can do to protect your community against serious illnesses.  When enough people get vaccinated, it’s harder for a disease to spread to those who can’t have vaccines.

Please contact your GP about getting the vaccine.

All Patients  wishing to have their covid vaccination/Booster  can contact the vaccination centre to have their Covid 19 vaccination by booking online @  https://covid-19.hscni.net/get-vaccinated/

NEW TEXTING SERVICE NOW AVAILABLE

If you do not wish to receive texts from us please let reception staff know so we can record it in your notes.

If you have updated your mobile number or wish to avail of this service please let reception know.

New Practice Boundary:

To provide the best care for our existing patients we have decided to  reduce our practice radius to 5.5 miles of the surgery.

We will only accept applications from new patients who live within this radius

Any existing patients who CHANGE address to a new address outside the radius will also be asked to re-register with a GP surgery closer to them.

Home Visits

Doctor's bagWhilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10:00 am.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. The doctors are extremely busy and therefore we cannot guarantee that your regular doctor will carry out the home visit please take this into consideration.  A GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
